Permanent Makeup

Permanent makeup has been around for a very long time, although the tools, inks and technique have improved we still see solid pink or blue eyebrows on some clients due to inexperienced artists, this can be avoided nowadays having the right artist and information before you purchase your service.

Why brows age to grey or blue? This can be caused by different things, and is typically the artist’s inexperience or client’s inability to follow proper aftercare. Ashy hues in older brows can be caused by the artist going too deep into the skin, the client using retinol products, the client being exposed to UV rays with no protection, or from the artist using an ink color that was unsuitable for the client’s Fitzpatrick level.

Why brows age to a red tone? Ink used in permanent makeup typically have either carbon or iron based pigments. Iron based pigments have a high chance of aging red, as yellow and black iron oxides are unstable and weak, leaving behind a red hue similar to rust.

Clients who asking for their previously tattooed brows to be microbladed have so much scarring, even machine shading would be a risk. I ask that all clients who have had previous work done to send me pictures. Microblading over a solid pink brow will lead to blue/purple healed hairstrokes. That is, if any hairstrokes make it through the 6-8 week healing process. Microblading over your solid brow tattoo will not give you the results you wish. You will end up with blotchy, discolored brows, even worse than what you had before. However, you wouldn’t know this by looking at before and after photos of “corrections”. Always ask to see the healed result. The best plan of action is to have laser tattoo removal. Laser tattoo removal is a better option than saline removal, as laser removal will break up scar tissue and cause less trauma than saline removal. After the tattoo is lightened and/or removed, your artist can then reassess your brows and offer you a service that you will be happier with once healed.

While removal is time consuming and can be costly, it is the best option on the path to having the brows you really want. If this isn’t an option you want to take, occasionally the brows can be corrected through machine shadingor combination brows. I won’t microblade over old work, but I’m sure you can find a less experienced artist who would be happy to take your money and do it anyway! If I do a correction, I use a machine. This method provides a more even distribution of ink, which will create a more successful and true correction. 

Typically corrections will need more than one session to correct the old color and have in mind that while you are healing parts of the old color might come up.

If you do not send in a photo prior to your appointment, you will forfeit your deposit and be turned away. Most clients who have had their brows tattooed in the past will be turned away and sent to have laser removal.

Permablend Pigments and Tina Davies pigments were not the first line I used on my clients. When I first began my career, I had little to no training on color theory and ink, and blindly used what my trainer told us to use! Those inks subsequently shifted to unnatural colors quickly under the skin. When those clients began returning for their touch ups, I realized there was a problem and began researching. I won the price for best homework at my training and the price was a tina davies set, so I started using those instead, also I started following the best artists on instagram and started using the same pigments they use, I had to invest a lot of money on color theory and more training because my first trainer was not honest aboiut the use of inks, bladed and results for mi clients.

The inks are the highest quality ingredients, and have a very high lightfastness which means as the ink ages in the skin, it will not discolor. The inks age to be the same color they were when they were implanted in the skin, just a lighter version as you might be able to see on my instagram account, my clients have amazing results even a year after the treatment.

The color chosen during your service is based on your natural brow hair, your skin color and hair. Using a color that is too dark for your skin and hair may result in brows healing too ashy and looking obviously tattoed. The color will be shown to you and discussed before any permanent changes are made.

This technique simulates the appearance of thin hair on the eyebrows. It is done with a special blade that achieves a 3D design, depositing pigment in the epidermis giving a fluffy natural look that will last for 12-18 months.

We can not guarantee the results for corrective/coverup work. If the previous tattoo is too dark, large, discolored, tattoo removal is recommended before booking an appointment for new cosmetic tattoo, to achieve the best results.

Corrective/coverup work will generally require multiple sessions for best results and additional touch ups will be charged accordingly.

It´s the combination of microblading hairstrokes with the 3D blur effect of the powder brows giving a natural fluffy look, ideal for clients that need mor filling on their brows, results will last for 12-18 months aprox.

During this procedure: our technician will add color to the lash line, it will make eyelashes appear darker and fuller, your eyes more awaken and open. It also denies, brightens and accentuates the eyes. Thickness and color customized for each client. Who may need this procedure? Everyone who’s using mascara or black pencil! Effect lasts from 2 and up to 3 years.

Bottom lash line available alone or as a combo.

Lip blush will enhance the natural beauty of your lips by improving the lip size, definition, color and by correcting and enlarging the shape. The effects can last from 1.5 and up to 3 years.
